Yoshie (hopefully I’m spelling that right!) – was my parents’ Japanese maid while they were living in Japan. I have heard a lot of stories about her. I do know that I heard everyone talk about her fondly. For many years, she and my parents exchanged Christmas cards and letters. I wonder what happened to her and her family.

Hi Sis- I don’t remember how to spell her name but it is pronounced ‘Yoshya” (long A). As kids, Jim and I spent hours at her family’s house (which was across the lane from our house when we lived off base). There were 3 kids in the family: Tokiko was Jim’s age and I think they had a crush on each other; Koichi (boy) was a little older than I was and Kaiko (girl) was my age. Of course Mom and Dad spent lots of time there as well, cultivating friendships. Wonderful memories…. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful photos.
