I think that right now, my oldest living relative is my grandmother, who is 79 (turning 80 in October). I realize that isn't very old, but some of the older members of the family have passed away in recent years. The oldest member of my family prior to my grandmother taking the title was my great-uncle, who lived to be almost 88. My great-grandmother had the title prior to him, and she lived to be 92 (she died in 1996, just 4 days before I got married).

Wendy - I hope that your life is getting back to normal and congrats to you Aunt on her long lifetime. My maternal Grandmother is in her 92nd year and is a joy to me. It's been wonderful having her in my life as I traveled through unraveling the ball of string that is our hobby. She is enjoying it as much as I am!

Thanks for sharing this story!

This is an interesting question, and I hadn't thought about it in quite that way. This has inspired me to post, and I'll link back to your blog. Thanks!
