Great photo. We think alike in that I find myself asking the same type of questions whenever I look at old photographs of my ancestors. If only we could go back in time to get the answers.

When I was little I had very long hair – and my poor mother had to comb out all the tangles. But I always loved the waves after my braid came out. I’m glad those sisters remained lifelong friends, and were both part of your life.

Not only are the photos great but the way you remembered these ladies and contrasted their pictures then and more recent was wonderfully done.

They say a picture’s worth a thousand words but sometimes a picture needs some help with a few extra words. Looking at these photos without your personal story to accompany them, well, they never would have touched me in the same way.
